T-80B (fuel) miniature, depicting the Soviet main battle tank variant equipped with external fuel drums for extended operational range. Introduced in the late 1970s as an improved version of the original T-80, the T-80B featured enhanced composite armor, a modernized fire control system, and the ability to fire 9M112 “Kobra” guided missiles through its 125 mm smoothbore gun. The addition of fuel tanks reflects field configurations designed to increase range during long maneuvers or deployments. Combining speed, protection, and firepower, the T-80B was one of the most advanced tanks of the Cold War, remaining in service into the modern era.
