The Cruiser Mk VIII Challenger was a British World War II tank designed in 1942 to mount the powerful 17-pounder anti-tank gun on a cruiser chassis. Built on a lengthened Cromwell hull, it sacrificed armor protection for speed and firepower, making it effective against heavy German tanks like the Panther and Tiger. However, its tall profile, mechanical issues, and limited production of just over 200 vehicles meant it was soon overshadowed by the more successful Sherman Firefly.

This model of a rare WWII British tank is extremely accurate. Because it is a kit it is printed in such a way that it has very little in the way or striation lines or extra print strands. What little support there is can be easily removed. The fit is excellent, and the finished model is a great addition to a collection.
