BTR-70 (smoke) miniature, depicting the Soviet 8x8 armored personnel carrier equipped with a smoke grenade launcher system. Introduced in the late 1970s, the BTR-70 featured a welded steel hull, improved armor, and twin gasoline engines for enhanced mobility. Armed with a 14.5 mm KPVT heavy machine gun and a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, this variant could deploy smoke screens to conceal troop movements or obscure enemy fire. Widely used by Soviet and Warsaw Pact forces and exported to numerous countries, the BTR-70 (Smoke) is ideal for Cold War and modern-era dioramas, wargaming scenery, or armored vehicle collections.
