BTR-40 miniature, representing the Soviet 4×4 armored personnel carrier introduced in the early 1950s. Based on the chassis of the GAZ-63 truck, the BTR-40 was the first postwar Soviet APC, designed to carry infantry while offering protection against small arms fire and shrapnel. Featuring an open-top hull, it could transport up to eight soldiers and was often armed with a light or heavy machine gun for additional fire support. Though lightly armored, it was highly mobile and saw service with the Soviet Army, Warsaw Pact countries, and many export customers. This model is a great addition for Cold War–era dioramas, wargaming scenery, or historical vehicle collections in multiple scales.
