BTR-152v3 (sand channel) miniature, depicting the late variant of the Soviet 6×6 armored personnel carrier fitted with both central tire inflation system (CTIS) and externally mounted sand channels for use in rough or desert terrain. Introduced in the early 1960s, the BTR-152v3 also featured an armored roof with hatches, offering better protection than earlier open-topped versions, while still capable of carrying up to 13–17 soldiers. The addition of sand channels reflects a practical adaptation for mobility in difficult environments, making it a distinctive and field-ready configuration. Widely used by Soviet and Warsaw Pact forces, as well as exported to allied nations, this model is an excellent choice for Cold War–era dioramas, wargaming scenery, or military vehicle collections in multiple scales.
