BTR-152S miniature, representing the late variant of the Soviet 6×6 armored personnel carrier equipped with full NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) protection. Introduced in the late 1950s, the BTR-152S featured an enclosed roof with overpressure and filtration systems to protect the crew and passengers in contaminated environments. Like earlier BTR-152 versions, it could carry up to 18 infantrymen and was armed with one or more machine guns for defensive fire. Rugged, spacious, and widely exported, the BTR-152S served with Soviet and Warsaw Pact forces as well as many allied nations during the Cold War. This model is a distinctive addition for Cold War–era dioramas, wargaming scenery, or historical vehicle collections in multiple scales.
