BTR-152A (sand channel) miniature, depicting the Soviet 6×6 armored personnel carrier in its anti-aircraft variant, equipped with sand channels mounted externally for improved mobility in desert or rough terrain. The BTR-152A replaced the standard troop compartment with a ZPU-2 twin 14.5 mm KPV heavy machine gun mount, giving it strong firepower against low-flying aircraft as well as light ground targets. Widely used by the Soviet Army, Warsaw Pact forces, and exported to numerous allied nations, the addition of sand channels reflects a practical field adaptation for off-road operations.
