The miniature Staghound Mk I (jettison tank) depicts an armored car equipped with a detachable auxiliary fuel tank to extend its operational range. This variant maintained the standard features of the Staghound MK I, including its 37mm gun and robust armor, but the addition of the jettison tank allowed for longer missions without the need for frequent refueling. It was widely used for reconnaissance and support roles during World War II.
