Armed with a 47 mm anti-tank gun in a compact casemate, it provided mobile anti-armor support for Italian units. This version features a protective cover over the fighting compartment, giving the vehicle a more enclosed appearance while retaining its distinctive low profile. The Semovente L40 served mainly in North Africa and later with German forces after Italy’s armistice in 1943.
