The Flakpanzer IV "Ostwind" (late) was an improved version of Germany’s self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle developed toward the end of World War II. Built on the Panzer IV chassis, this variant featured refinements such as a simplified, more angular turret design for easier production and enhanced protection. Armed with the 3.7 cm FlaK 43 cannon, it was intended to defend ground troops from low-flying aircraft. Due to the late stage of the war and resource constraints, only a few were produced and deployed, making the late Ostwind a rare but notable example of German wartime adaptation.
