Built on the AEC Matador chassis, this variant retained the original vehicle’s armored body and internal staff accommodations, including workstations and communication equipment. The added roof rack provided extra space for carrying gear, supplies, or radio antenna components, especially useful in extended field operations. Used by British and Commonwealth forces, it was especially common in desert and open-terrain theaters, where logistical self-sufficiency was critical.
