BTR-152K (sand channel) miniature, depicting the Soviet 6×6 armored personnel carrier in its later enclosed-roof variant with externally mounted sand channels for use in desert and rough terrain. Introduced in the early 1960s, the BTR-152K improved protection over earlier versions by enclosing the troop compartment and adding roof hatches for safer embarkation. Capable of carrying up to 13–17 soldiers and often armed with machine guns, it provided both transport and support fire for Soviet and Warsaw Pact forces. The addition of sand channels reflects a practical field adaptation for challenging environments, making this model a distinctive choice for Cold War–era dioramas, wargaming scenery, or historical vehicle collections in multiple scales.
