When assembling model kits, finding the right glue can make a huge difference in durability and ease of use. Over the years, I’ve tried different adhesives, but I keep coming back to Loctite glue for Miniature Tanks Company models.
Why Loctite? Loctite provides a strong, reliable bond that holds up over time. It dries quickly, making it great for rapid assembly, and it works well with the resin and plastic materials commonly used in miniature kits. In my assembly videos, you’ll notice that I consistently use Loctite glue because it offers a perfect balance of strength and usability.
Other Options That Work That being said, I know that other modelers have found success with different types of glue. Some prefer Tamiya Extra Thin Cement for plastic kits, while others swear by Gorilla Glue or super glue gels for certain applications. Everyone has their favorite based on their own experiences and techniques.
What Works Best for You? While Loctite is my go-to choice, I’d love to hear what works best for you! Have you found another glue that works exceptionally well for assembling model kits? Drop your recommendations in the comments below and let’s discuss the best options for model builders!
